Hitty Iris Raikes of The Ashgrove Hittys has arrived to spend a few weeks with us this summer and to attend Hitty Hoopla on Great Cranberry Island.
First she settles in with Hitty-Sue and the Northeast Hittys in Maine and with Hitty Ruth of the Plymouth Hittys in Maine. Hitty Ruth has her own bedroom here and the girls have settled in with their sleeping bags for many nights of giggles, reading books and fun!
On Thursday, August 4th, the Hittys met Miss Pru and her Hitty at the waterfront park and gardens along the Penobscot River in Bangor. The Hittys picked cranberries and flowers then played in the fairy houses.
August 6, 2011 we took a walk in Hanibal Hamlin Park on the Kenduskeag Stream in Bangor. Of course the Hittys had to have their photos taken with this famous man.
