We decided today would be a good day to sort through all of Hitty's belongings. Here are the girls in the pile of stuff! Some of the Hittys fainted when they saw all of the items they have accumulated over the years!
Hitty Sue and Hitty Iris Raikes came across this Hitty blank, poor thing, she will never become a true Hitty as there are no carvers in this house.
The girls also found quilt squares from Grammy Poore's log cabin quilt. They want to put a backing on them so they will have a quilt just like Ancestor Hitty did. They are checking out to see how the Hittyfield Hittys PIF would look as a backing that way it could be reversable and have double the use.
After a while they got tired and decided to go for a walk around the yard. They climbed a maple tree and wondered what happend to it's bark.
They wandered over to Hitty Ruth's old homestead and found the Mountain Ash, "Hitty's Tree".
Only one more day before Hitty Iris Raikes has to leave for home. We've enjoyed having her visit.
