Doll Club meeting

Saturday May 1, 2010

Today was Maine-ly Dolls Club meeting and our program was show and tell.
My Hitty-Sue was happy to attend and represent the Hittys, she showed off her dress made by my sister Dawn.  She is holding Diane's metal tub baby.

Carolyn showed her Hummel tea set.

These bean head dolls have been in Ruthi's family for 300 years. They represent Ruthi's Great, Great Grandmother and her nine children.

Ruthi also shared her Ode to Joyce collection of miniature porcelain dolls made by our member Joyce.

Christine shared the apple head dolls she made.

Donna received this lovely antique doll from her mother-in-law.

Patty shared her collection of Polymer dolls, these babies are so cute and tiny. They would make a great collection for someone who has limited space.

Anne's beautiful antique doll.

Peggy K's Mary Hartline doll, she was popular in the 1950's.

Pru's reborn baby.

Sheila T's Cat doll left poses with Diane's Cat doll

Joyce's vinyl head Ginny with hard plastic body.

My Lee Middleton Happy Birthday Teddy, #1882 celebrating the 100th anniversary of the teddy bear, holding my Raikes Hitty-Sue. Birthday is February, 2002. Her original dress is underneath this adorable premie size outfit I put on her to help keep her original clothes clean, besides, I like this outfit better.

I so love all those cute little babies! I still have my old Betsy McCall doll. Looking at those brings back so many memories.
